Greening the Desert

I just caught this flash presentation on Greening the Desert. The story of Geoff Lawton's Jordan project, where they got a flat, arid desert to produce food on about 1/5 the water normally used. Its impressive and shows how some of the planet's worst resource conflicts are more easily sovled by more intelligent use of the resources available, than by stealing them from your neighbors.
Its just a few minutes long and 1Mb or so, so check it out.
