An emerging trend we can expect is the Green party starting to be in powerful positions in Australia and New Zealand.
SMH covered this story about the greens holding the balance of power in the senate. (It shares this role with the right wing Family First party).
ACT is currently in post-election negotiations, with Greens being the king-maker.
New Zealand is about to go to the polls with predictions being that the Greens and Maori parties will hold the balance of power.
