Chris, could you flush this idea out a bit. I've read the "vision thing" that
you are Peter put together
(ftp://nic.merit.edu/documents/interner-drafts/draft-ietf-iiir-vision-00.txt)
which I thought I understood, but I'm not sure how this fits in. Also, we
need to consider that the meta-information may well be stored outside the
resource, especially in bibliographic databases. When this occurs, I don't
see how having a URL for the resource lets you get at the meta-information.

No doubt you have thought these things thru, so I'd appreciate hearing your
deepest, innermost, cocktail napkin thoughts.
