I noted to the participants in the discussion of URLs and URNs and the
like (distribution list url@bunyip.com) that there had been an
interesting discussion of them and their relation to SGML external
entity references; I think the discussion in netnews on MARC records
is probably relevant to the ongoing discussion of citations, also.
You in the 'to' list had posted messages.
I'd like to invite any of you who might care to do so to summarize
your comments on the URL draft, as there's some desire to move URLs
into draft standard soon.
I can't easily act as a netnews gateway (I'm out of net contact for
the next week), and the next IETF meeting is coming up soon.
