As an alternative scenario it would be usefull if you fleshed out
the answers to the same questions I asked Peter. I dont have the list
in front of me, but basically.

What would the protocol look like from the time the client has
a URN to when it has a URL and meta-information,

How would this handle nested meta-information (i.e. on URN's and URL's).

How would data be entered into the database?

Since this is a DNS extension what libraries are available that a client
could use to construct DNS queries, calling nslookup is not something a

client can do.

Are you suggesting that a DNS like hierarchy of servers be used to
distribute the information, if so, then DNS uses rules to distribute the
queries to the appropriate servers, what rules would apply in this case.

It would be really good to have as complete an alternative proposal to
look at in Houston, then people can discuss whether we want to try
and choose one, or implement both or what?
