Are we sure the ':' is not a legal selector character? What about systems
where disks are noted with ':', is this going to pose a problem?
`:' is the Macintosh `directory' seperator (much as I dislike it), and
could cause problems. Perhaps it would be better to use the `?'
syntax, and match the other URLs? That would involve client mods,
which Mitra's excellent suggestion doesn't, but it would allow for
expansion along the same lines as the forms support in some clients,
and the code for that is already written...
