[Knock, knock]
Just interrupting the colloquy to ask a naive practical question.
The need for automatic mirroring of sites in a manner that is
transparent to the end-user (ie, links that find the most local
version of a requested page) is already very much with us.
I am thinking of the often-inaccessible NCSA home pages in
particular.
Can someone describe how close we are to a practical system which
would solve this problem, once implemented by clients and
servers, and where I might read more on this point?
