Hello All,
In the following message you will find what I expect to be the
last set of minutes submitted by myself as Co-Chair of the URI working
group. As all of you who were in Toronto know, both myself and Jim
Fullton will be leaving these positions in the near future. Erik has
asked us to retain the position until the current documents in progress
have gone through their respective processes to final status.
While I hope and expect to continue to participate in the group
in future, the workload of trying to run a startup in addition to one of
the largest groups in the IETF has caused both endevours to suffer from
unintentioned neglect :-( I would like to thank all of you who have
participated and helped both the group and myself over the past couple of
years. I think we've done good work on what has turned out to be a very
difficult set of problems.
Larry Masinter has been asked and has agreed to taking over the
Chair of the group... I wish him the best of luck: it's certainly a fun
group of people :-)
