Subject: AGENDA ITEMS for December IETF meeting
Larry,
Is it time to start having more organized discussions about resolution
of URN's to URL's (and other mappings)? I know a number of people are
starting to build such services? Can this go on in parallel with the
discussion of the URN spec? I suspect we aren't in a position to
write documents, but if we could scope out the set of issues, then
perhaps those working on the problem can frame their solutions.
Were you expecting us to comment on the potential conflicts of WG time
slots? I, for one, have no problem with them. But, given the size of
the URI mailing list and interest in the group's activities, it seems
to me that if at all possible, at least one of the sessions should be
multicast, so that more people can participate or at least be
"present". If, we can get one session multicast, then the agenda
should be arranged, as best we can, so that issues of most
interest/controversy should be discussed during the multicast session.
