Erik,
Thank you for your comments about librarianship (I know - I just made
up a word). I think many of us appreciate that the work you mention
has been done. Can you provide for those of too totally focussed on
Computer Science either a tutorial on what you think we ought to know
about that work, or a pointer to something already written in concise
form (for those of us who don't have time to take up a new career in
library science)? What I'm trying to say is that I have time to read
an article or two, but probably not a book or two on the subject :-).
I am perfectly comfortable with finding something that is not online -
it doesn't need to be a web page or anonymous ftp file, just a
traditional style reference or two, that I can chase down in the
library. This would be extremely helpful, and I, for one, would
greatly appreciate it.
