Mitra Ardron - Projects past and present
Here are some of the projects I'm either involved with now, or have been in the last few years.
I am CEO and co-founder of Lumeter Networks.
Lumeter has developed a series of pre-paid electricity meters that we are supplying to renewable energy companies so that they can better server rural off-grid villages in developing countries.
From late 2008 thru to the end of 2009 I've helped the team at Urban Ecological Systems who have developed the first commercially viable integrated organic urban horticulture / aquaculture systems. I helped them develop the business, and find a joint venture partner to put upwards of $5m into the project. I consulted occasionally with them over the next few years, and in 2013 the first farm, 5,000 sq meters in size (1 acre) opened near Sydney and is now branded under Blue Smart Farms

I'm on the advisory board of Gaia University, which brings a degree level permaculture and eco-village centered education in sustainability. Their courses are delivered from affiliated training partners all over the world.
NOTE: Natural Innovation is on indefinite hold as I devote all my time to Lumeter Networks.
I am the Executive Director of Natural Innovation .org
Natural Innovation works to support & mentor innovator in, or focused on, developing countries. To help them get their idea completed, and scalably distributed.
I started this because of the critical need for business advise and access to finance for those, who typically self-identify as engineers or inventors rather than entrepreneurs and are working on the technology aspects of solving critical problems for the bottom billion.
Tyagarah Sustainable Community Alliance
In Australia I lived in Tyagarah an area between Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Brunswick Head, and was active with the Tyagarah Sustainable Community Alliance which works to protect and enhance the environment and community of Tyagarah, www.tyagarah.org
